Formulated for sensitive skin and skin with redness, the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Skin Relief Treatment Moisturizer claims “to help neutralize and soothe the look of facial redness.” Each 2 oz. jar contains ingredients like colloidal oatmeal, aloe, and cucumber to calm skin. Liz used it during the driest months of the year when her dry skin needed a little TLC.

I only tried this moisturizer after getting a sample packet with an Ulta order a while back. Immediately impressed with how moisturizing this product was, I added it to my favorites list to pick up the next time a 20% off sale was going on (because at almost $50, getting any money off is a very good thing).
The jar of product is pretty hefty (the base is a thick tinted glass and the lid is plastic). It does come in under the 3.4 fl. oz. mark though, so it’s TSA carryon approved even if it’s not lightweight. I don’t see any fragrance called out in the ingredients list and if it smells like anything, it might be aloe. Nothing that I really noticed, and nothing that bothered me.
My pale skin certainly gets its fair share of redness and flushing, and the patches of broken capillaries on my face are my most annoying skin issue. I do not, however, have actual rosacea so I can’t speak to how this cream would perform on skin with that condition. Happily, I had no reactions or skin irritations using this daily (yay!).
This cream is very, very lightly tinted green (which is supposed to counteract redness), but I’m not really convinced it actually made any impact on red tones in my skin. It will not work miracles and make my pinky-red capillaries disappear. To be honest, I didn’t expect it to, and I purchased it less for its facial redness neutralizing claim and more because it is so amazingly, incredibly hydrating.
With a cooling, almost gel-like texture, I love how quickly this absorbs into the skin. It leaves my skin really plump and dewy (don’t worry, not shiny-dewy, just healthy-dewy). I primarily use this in the morning as my daily moisturizer, but I’ve also taken it with me on a few trips and used it at night too. It’s a great option for both.
During the colder and drier months of the year, I really need an extra hydrating cream to keep my face from sprouting dry patches, especially in my t-zone. This IT Cosmetics moisturizer gets the job done. I’m almost out after three months of use, but this will definitely stay in my favorites list.
