ColourPop launches new items so frequently it’s hard to remember a product I had my eye on when it released because within a few days, there will be 20 new things in front of it on the brand’s New Arrivals page. The Sweet Talk Palette is one of the products I wanted to try that got lost in the shuffle when it released earlier this year. Am I happy I remembered to pick it up?

This lovely little 12-shade palette does not disappoint. The way I read the shades, there are two glitters, a shimmer, two metallics and seven mattes. And they’re all pretty great. The palette has a peachy-pink overall vibe, but I love how the brown shades make this really versatile. When I first swatched these, I thought there might be a few shades (Meadow and Dream Maker, for example) that were too similar. Once I started using the palette, however, I didn’t think any of them looked the same on the eyes.
For a crease or transition shade, Work It and West Side get the job done really well. But the sparkly shades! Oh, the glitters! I topped a neutral brown look with the gold glitter called Early Mornin’ and it provided a gorgeous pop of shine. I was working an event the day I wore this look and got three compliments on my eyeshadow in a two-hour time span; one girl even asked me the specific product I was using. It’s all because of the glitter!
I also love how soft and romantic this palette is overall. A quick sweep of either Garden Date or Melody creates a brightening effect on the lid. I blended Dream Maker into my crease and diffused it a little bit onto the lid, applied Catch Me along the lash line, then tapped Side2Side at the center of the eye and had an easy, everyday look done in only a minute.
For me, the shade selection, price tag and quality of the shadows in this palette make it a great option. The glitters add some extra fun and (bonus!) stay put on the lid. I know I’ll continue to use this eyeshadow and am really glad I didn’t let it pass me by.
