Clinique’s All About Eyes™ eye cream claims to reduce the look of undereye circles and puffiness for all skin types. According to the brand, this “non-creep cream/gel formula actually helps hold eye makeup in place” and can be applied both morning and night. We like to see that, like all Clinique products, it’s free of parabens, phthalates and fragrance and is also ophthalmologist tested. What else does this little jar have to offer?

I think Clinique All About Eyes™ might have been the first eye cream I ever used. It’s a popular cult-favorite and because it’s been around for years, I think some people pass it by in favor of new, trendy products. In my experience with this cream, it shouldn’t be forgotten because it’s a great, everyday hydrator for the eye area.
Puffiness and dark circles aren’t something I really struggle with (yet), but I do find this product brightens the eye area because it has a dewy, gel-like finish. I always tap it in a circle around the eye with my ring finger for the gentlest application, including the brow bone and the inner bridge of the nose, and stay almost a fingertip away from the lashline.

This eye cream feels very soft and silky on the skin, and provides enough daily hydration for my dry undereyes. It will pill on me if I go in with too much product, so I usually tap my finger once in the jar and that’s all I need for each eye. My concealers and other makeup products always apply well on top of this, and I’ve never experienced any sensitivity using it.
I would recommend All About Eyes for the teens, 20s and early 30s age brackets (there’s an All About Eyes™ Rich that might be better for the post-35 group). It probably won’t be enough to combat serious signs of aging, but it’s a great starter eye cream for skincare newbies and a solid option for those of us looking for enough moisture to keep our eye areas looking healthy and bright.
Liz’s Verdict: Great for day-to-day hydration.

I want an eye cream to be three things: non-irritating, hydrating and complementary under makeup. I have sensitive eyes, practically everything makes them tear up. I also have dry skin that isn’t getting any better with age. Unfortunately, price tag and efficacy don’t seem to correlate for me when it comes to eye cream. Enter Clinique’s All About Eyes™, a moderately priced option that out performs everything else I have tried (even La Mer).
“…a moderately priced option that out performs everything else I have tried (even La Mer).”
All About Eyes feels lightweight out of the jar and absorbs easily. It leaves just enough slip to aid in concealer application and ward off any crêpe-iness. It isn’t so heavy that it causes milia or my makeup to slide around, and it doesn’t absorb into nothing making me wonder what I just spent a small fortune on. I appreciate that it has no scent and comes in multiple sizes (0.5 and 1 oz.). The only thing I would change, but certainly isn’t a deal breaker for me, is the container. A roller ball, squeeze tube or cute little scoop so I don’t have to dig my finger into the jar would be nice. I get around this by shaking it once or twice before I open the jar and using my ring finger to pick a small amount up from the underside of the lid. A little goes a long way, no point in wasting it.

This product does make some claims about reducing puffiness and circles, but I use it primarily for its moisturizing properties. I can use other products (serums) aimed at fighting wrinkles, discoloration, uneven skin tone, etc. without watering them down with moisturizer.
This makes a huge difference for my sensitive undereye area but is so far from fussy that I’ve even convinced my husband to use it. Clinique All About Eyes™ is a staple for me and I’m so thankful the price point is palatable.
